Hello! I’m Shelly Langona, VP and GM, coming to you from the Framery O Phone Booth with a blog series about workplace leadership. In this post, I’m sharing RJE’s top three goals for 2019. If you have any business resolutions for 2019, tell us on Twitter or Facebook!

Much like the rest of the world every January, we at RJE love taking time to outline our key goals for the upcoming year. Many of our resolutions have already fizzled – ahem, our organization resolution no longer sparks joy – but we are confident that these three goals will still be top of mind at year end. Read below to see what key initiatives we are focusing on in 2019.

1. STRENGTHEN OUR ENTERPRISE MODEL

With five locations across the Midwest, RJE team members in each location are lucky to be able to lean on our Enterprise team members to help with complex projects or alleviate bandwidth concerns. Moving into 2019, here’s how we hope to strengthen this model:

  • RJE has implemented Smartsheet – a cloud-based, real time work management tool that is giving us more insight than ever. We plan to heavily use this platform to streamline internal efficiencies like onboarding and project oversight. Additionally, Smartsheet will offer our clients more visibility into our process than ever.
  • In Q3 of 2018, we began an initiative with our partners at DORIS Research to focus on key areas of our business that our employees felt we could further develop across the Enterprise. We will be spending 2019 implementing these improvements – stay tuned for more details!

2. GROW OUR BUSINESS

Since adding our Kentucky locations in 2017, our business has grown rapidly and we work daily to ensure our team members have the support they need to be successful. We continue to hire and onboard new team members each month and are excited to announce that we have more than 105 team members across the Enterprise! We aim to be trusted advisors and workplace consultants for every client, so we look for these traits in our new employees as well.

Additionally, we are continuing to implement new services, technologies and processes that will further support our growth across the Midwest.

3. BROADEN OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH

If you’ve worked with us before or even just perused our website, you will notice that we believe in supporting our communities each and every day. We often donate or volunteer as an organization, but this year we hope to empower our employees in their individual charitable efforts. We’ve recently formed a Community Awareness Team that will be in charge of aiding our employees in their quest to become servant leaders.

Finally, we will continue to support the organizations that we’ve worked with for several years; but,  we also look forward to learning about new organizations that are finding unique ways to give back in our communities.
