1. In your opinion, what is the very best day of the year?
Any Saturday. The phones are off, business slows down for the weekend and there is a little freedom from the weekly workload.
2. What do you love most about living in Indianapolis?
The ability to have meaningful relationships. The city is large enough to have impactful businesses and organizations, but still small enough to form strong connections. Being in the Midwest, I think connecting and forming close relationships is a large part of the culture.
3. What are you reading right now?
“Legend and Lies: The Civil War” by Bill O’Reilly. I like almost any historical nonfiction.
4. If you could give a million dollars to any organization(s), which would you give it to?
I would give it to any organization that impacted early childhood education. Through our United Way efforts, I’ve learned that if you alleviate issues, remove hurdles from the onset and provide children with a strong education, many other problems that plague adults cease to exist. When it is all said and done, it gives kids a chance at living a better life.
5. What are you most looking forward to this month?
I love the onset of autumn and everything that it brings — football is in full-swing, the cool, comfortable crispness in the air, the energy and school spirit.
