Today, meet Kate Sharp. With more than 13 years at RJE under her belt, Kate is part of our RJE Cincinnati’s talented workplace design team. As a workplace consultant, Kate works with clients on finding design solutions for their space challenges, managing their project, and working with our talented design team to create an inspiring space. Get to know Kate below!

How long have you been with RJE and what do you do at our company?
I have been with RJE for more than 13 years, serving in various roles from designer to sales coordinator, and am currently working as your Workplace Consultant.
What led you to RJE?
With a background in design, when I first jumped into my career, I started working with a furniture dealership right out of design school. In the mid-2000s, the recession hit our dealership and we were going under, however, RJE acquired us and the rest is history! RJE was the best thing that happened to our dealership!
What is your favorite thing about working at RJE?
The people. We are really a family.
Describe RJE in three words
Rusty Jim Ed! It makes me laugh every time someone asks what RJE stands for.
What does hugging your customer mean to you?
Hugging your customers means doing everything I can to deliver a space better than they imagined and going above and beyond to make that process as seamless as possible.
What does an inspiring space include in your eyes?
An inspiring space is somewhere you are excited to go; that makes you feel energized and creative. I also think having a lot of natural light and snacks make it extra inspiring!
What can customers expect from working with you?
They can expect for me to act as part of their team. Having worked in just about every position at a dealership (designer, sales coordinator, project manager), I know what needs to get done and how to get there.
Why are you excited about the new Allsteel partnership?
I am most excited about the refresh of our showroom, the new products, and the team mentality that Allsteel has shown us from day one.
What is your current favorite product from Allsteel and its portfolio of brands?
I really like the overall aesthetic of the Corral line, but Allsteel Beyond Pavilion is my favorite.

You are a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?
I never envied the person who had to name the crayons…Sharp Saffron. My last name and Saffron because it is a little punchy.

Favorite way to spend your free time?
Watching my boys play sports
Cats or Dogs?
Can I say guinea pigs? I know my youngest will appreciate if I respond with that. Shoutout to Nibbles and Rocket.
Favorite place you have ever been?
Not sure that it is my absolute favorite, but I just got back from Key West and the sandbars there are amazing!
Favorite downtown Cincy spot?
RJE Cincinnati and our new showroom! Love being in walking distance to everything.
Favorite movie or tv show at the moment?
I am not a Sci-Fi fan, but recently been enjoying some family time watching Stranger Things.
Any personal mantra or words to live by that you follow?
