The heart of RJE is always beating, and at its center is Sheryl Hudson, our hr/administrator (but so much more to the organization). She’s the face you see when you walk through the door or the voice you hear when you reach out to the Indianapolis office.
With this in mind, let’s get to know Sheryl a little bit better, as she’s our March spotlight in the “People Who Delight” series. We’ll learn more about her role and how she continually helps the RJE team expand and grow. Learn more about Sheryl below!

What lead you to RJE?
I had the opportunity to learn about the company and culture through a former employee.
What’s your favorite thing about working at RJE?
It’s most certainly the culture – there’s something different about RJE and that’s what makes it special.
Describe RJE in three words:
Hard working, caring, fun environment (okay, maybe five words)
What does hugging your customer mean to you?
Not to sound cliché but, “Do What We Say We Will Do.” We cannot control everything, but if we do that, in the end that is all that matters!
What does an inspiring space include in your eyes?
I think that is specific for each person, but for me it’s what speaks to the culture of a company. It should be fun and exciting so that employees are reminded of who and what they stand for.
What can customers expect from working with you?
That I am dependable and that they know they can count on me.
What is your current favorite product from Allsteel and its portfolio of brands?
Loving the Beyond Cabanas.

You are a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Green, it makes me think of the outdoors.
What emoji do you use the most?
Happy face 😊 and googly eyes with tongue sticking out 😜 (okay, that’s two 😊)
Favorite way to spend your free time?
Spending time with my family and friends and cruising in our classic hot rods.
Cats or Dogs?
I love both — we currently we have a cat named Boomer.
Favorite place you have ever been?
I haven’t been out of the US, but my favorite place is Gatlinburg, TN, which is where I was married.
Favorite movie or tv show at the moment?
My all time favorite movie is It’s A Wonderful Life. What a gift to be given to see the how different the world would be if you were never born.
Any personal mantra or words to live by that you follow?
The Golden Rule, do unto other, as you would have done to you!
